Home Sweet Home!

Recently, SpiceCake has moved back to her normal home with MarbleCake! She has been able to walk and stand on her own for a few weeks now! She no longer has to be in her tiny stall, although I bet she misses seeing all the wonderful messages on her wall!
SpiceCake and MarbleCake enjoying some food in their pasture! As you can see, Spicey was too happy and content to look over at the camera but Marble was happy to do so!!

SpiceCake is soo happy she gets to have a larger place to run around now! She tries to trot but it is mostly just a very fast walk!

(Hay, this is yummy!!)

Because she was so happy eating her food, she wasn't very interested in getting her picture taken. Thanks for checking in on our girl SpiceCake! Come back soon for more updates! (Hopefully with more pictures!)

Spice Cake Had Visitors!

Spice Cake has been very busy! She had many visitors recently. She was rooming in the barn with 14 Stallions! Here are some pictures of Herrmann's Royal Lipazann Stallions, during one of the shows they recently performed at Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center

The shows were amazing. We had lots of people come out to see the Stallions. The shows at Hearts & Horses were special, because the visitors got to see the Stallions & Riders up close & personal. Visitors could meet the horses in the barn & even feed them treats! What an amazing time for the Hearts & Horses family! Thank You to everyone who came out to support Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Programs.

There was even one very special guest Rider during the shows. Hearts & Horses Director & Owner, Stephanie Keene. As you would imagine, she was a natural. Let's hope she doesn't run away with the show!

We will posting some more updates about Spice Cake soon. She has been doing well. Recent  developments include; needing to close the door to her stall so she couldn't make a getaway, a walk around the farm, and an even longer walk around the farm, and extended rooming time with her old pal Marble Cake in their usual home! What fun, and what exciting times for Spice and the Hearts & Horses community! Thanks for checking in, and we hope to get you updates here at least a couple of times a week.

A Visit from a Friend

Spice Cake has been getting better. She has been able to get up on her own quite often lately. She was able to spend the day with her friend Marble Cake recently. Spice Cake & Marble Cake shared a pasture before Spice Cake was injured.

(Trying to get the girls to pose for the camera:)

(Say Cheese!)

Spice Cake continues to be a lucky lady, with lots of Get Well Soon cards & posters. Even Zeus the Greek God says Get Well to Spice!

("Zeus wants Spice Cake to get better.")

Keep those Positive Thoughts Coming!

Keep those positive thoughts coming for Spice Cake. She is a spicy girl, strong willed & persistent.

She was able to get up today without using the lift. She had help from her good girlfriends Marley & Alivia, and together they helped her. This is good news, and the first time that she has been able to get up without her lift.

(Thank you Rhyse & Ella for the flowers!)

 (More love letters for Spice!)

Keep checking in, and we will keep you updated!

More Love Letters for Spice Cake

As promised, here are some more of the thoughtful & sweet cards for Spice Cake. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind to our girl.
 (Thank you Courtney!)

 (Thank you Eda!)

 (Thank you Morgan!)

Spice Cake is still trying hard to help her helpers get her up each day.

And the big news of the day-Today Spice Cake took a few steps over to her water bucket!!

She is making gains each day, although she still has a long road ahead of her, including continued chiropractic & veterinary care. Luckily, Spice Cake has many friends who are already planning fundraisers & events for Spice. We'll keep you updated!

If you would like to make a donation to her vet care account, please contact Stephanie at the farm at 929-4700.
